Purely Whimsical

This yarn was a Christmas gift last year. I really wanted to try out my new knitpicks needles, and this Koigu yarn was just sitting around, waiting to be used. Usually I’m not a pink and purple girl, but what can you do? And they don’t look bad…

There is no pattern for the socks, just toe up, using the figure 8 cast on. Symmetrical increases. I’d like to have a reinforced heel so I’m doing a gusset and heel flap instead of a hourglass heel.

You can see in the picture that one of my knitpicks needles popped in half. They’re really great, they’re going to send me a new needle ASAP.
