Open letter to pedestrians today

Dear Crazy Persons,

I realize that we just got 6-7 inches of snow after a nice warm snap and the sidewalks haven’t been cleared so your tootsies may become a tad wet. Snow is cold, I know. I had to get out my big overcoat again because it was cold this morning.

Still.

Walking on the road is NOT an approved practice, not when we haven’t gotten sanding trucks yet, and you’re on the wrong side of a blind corner.

And even though you may be getting a little teensy bit of snow on your sneakers following the nice little trail in the snow on the sidewalk/snow bank, do not hop from there into the roadway. That’s MY SPACE. I was only four feet away from you when you jumped out. I’m still not sure how I avoided you.

You almost broke a leg on my car. I would have felt really bad, but do you realize it would have been your fault?

Seriously, stay off the roads!

Thanks,

Sane Driver

haha. Is it bad that all I can do is laugh, cause I can totally see you yelling at the person inside your car.

Today I was in the left turn lane, stopped at the red light. Light turns green, semi rolls through his now red light. His brakes were locked and he's still coming forward. I saw the whole thing, and waited for him to clear the intersection. Very scary!
