Anyone else remember?

So does anyone else remember back in the 90s when President Clinton tried to bomb a known terrorist, was delayed and ultimately failed because of the Lewinski circus, and was trashed by Republicans for “trying to deflect attention from the Lewinski case?”

Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one who remembers this. The terrorist was Osama bin Laden, by the way. I remember at least one talking head saying that this guy was small change.

MomThese are the same pinheads who won't acknowledge that GW Bush didn't mention the Shoe bomber for DAYS, and criticize Pres. Obama for delaying on the Underwear Bomber. And how bout Pat Robertson, who said recently that Haiti made a pact with the devil, and therefore was headed for a fall and deserved the earthquake.

Aunt Melissaunfortunately people's memories are what they want them to be - not necessarily the truth. It isn't until they read it in some encyclopedia that they accept the truth and even then they will argue about it. But good point on your part.

tr3n1tyYeah. I just clearly remember it because it was a case of what seemed to me the president doing his job, and getting totally panned for it (undeservedly) because of that witch hunt.

I don't think anyone could stand that kind of scrutiny of their lives. No one's a saint, we'd all look terrible.
