First Snowflake of the Year
by tr3n1ty on Oct.28, 2009,under Announcements
When I was much younger, around 4 or 5 years old, I remember there being lots of snow at this time of year. I always had to bundle up in a snowsuit around this time. I hated snowsuits, and was ever so glad when I got to wear a regular coat like everyone else. I’m not sure why I hated snowsuits, I really don’t remember why. Probably because I perceived it as a little kid item, and I wanted to be big.
I remember planning Halloween costumes around winter coats and snowsuits, because that’s how cold it was. It’s not even below freezing today; I went for a walk at lunch and only wore a fleece jacket.
I say all of this because when I walked out of my house this morning to go to work, I saw snowflakes falling. Yes, it was finally snowing! It isn’t sticking yet, but I fully expect the tire changeover places to be extremely busy for the next 2 weeks, since it seems everyone waits until the last moment to put their winter tires on.
