No one knows how to play cards anymore

Why is it that no one knows how to play cards anymore? (I’ve decided to NOT count poker)
There are some populations from the Midwest who still know Euchre, and navy families often still know Spades, but hardly anyone knows games like Pinochle, Hearts, Bridge, Gin, Rummy, Gin Rummy, or Cribbage. Why is this?
Card games are fun and entertaining. It’s fun to do when you have a small dinner party with friends. Are we just watching TV instead? Maybe it’s because I’ve spent a lot of time camping, but I’m still amazed at how many people I know never play traditional card games. I think it’s a real shame.
With that in mind, I’m attaching some PDFs of card sized cribbage rules and scorecards. (Great for hiking) Enjoy.
