LA means Theme Parks

Honestly, I hate Disney. It’s a philosophical hate though, because if it weren’t for Disney, we’d have reasonable copyright terms (a slight exaggeration, but not that huge).

So, I really didn’t want to go to Disneyland and put money in Disney’s hands. After a couple of minutes thought, I figured that Universal Studios might have less kids than Knott’s Berry Farm or Legoland, so I drove north to Hollywood.

I made the mistake of opening up my sunroof when I was in LA and then almost had to pull over when I nearly blacked out from lack of oxygen. It’s a joke, but not really a funny one. I really did hyperventilate for a bit until I acclimated to the smog. Even New York wasn’t that bad! My eyes really burned too, and not just from the sun.

I have to say, I had a good time at Universal Studios. I’ve never been to a theme park before, so it was an experience. It won’t kill me if I don’t ever make it there again though.

you are a good blogger. I feel like I was almost there. Sorry about your losses... I wish you had a better memory of California than a rental car break-in.

Elly wants to go to DisneyWorld. I'm suggesting DisneyLand as it is closer, got any ideas of reasonable places to look for a value to take Elly on a vacation?

Hope you get home in good condition and are rested. Hope your class(es) are worth it too.

Much love to you.

Well, EVERYTHING is expensive there. I had one requirement: a hotel with a kitchen that did not have any comments from people complaining about bugs on various review forums.

That pretty much left me with Residence Inn, which was not cheap.

It may be easier to find a better deal actually in Anaheim though, I could poke around and see :).
