Honestly, I hate Disney. It’s a philosophical hate though, because if it weren’t for Disney, we’d have reasonable copyright terms (a slight exaggeration, but not that huge).
So, I really didn’t want to go to Disneyland and put money in Disney’s hands. After a couple of minutes thought, I figured that Universal Studios might have less kids than Knott’s Berry Farm or Legoland, so I drove north to Hollywood.
I made the mistake of opening up my sunroof when I was in LA and then almost had to pull over when I nearly blacked out from lack of oxygen. It’s a joke, but not really a funny one. I really did hyperventilate for a bit until I acclimated to the smog. Even New York wasn’t that bad! My eyes really burned too, and not just from the sun.
I have to say, I had a good time at Universal Studios. I’ve never been to a theme park before, so it was an experience. It won’t kill me if I don’t ever make it there again though.
